Flash VS. HTML
Flash and HTML designers have been at war with each other for years on when and when not to use Flash in a website. There is no denying that a total Flash website offers the greatest creative expression and flexibility, with the sky being the only limit. However, there are some strong disadvantages to creating a website completely in Flash. Think of Flash as an interactive movie. The experience for a person interacting with the site is great visually, but to a search engine, it will only see that you have a Flash file on your site; it will not know what is inside of that “movie.” For this reason, we recommend against creating full Flash sites, unless it is a self-contained extension of an existing site and does not have to generate traffic to itself though search engine listings. The vast majority of our sites incorporate Flash elements sparingly and strategically.
